A flexible proposal, not a mandatory rule

The starting allocation totals 100%, but it is only a planning baseline. Real needs vary with rent, location, household, transport, and personal goals. This calculator is not individualized financial advice.

When you increase a category, the engine uses unallocated balance first, then lower-priority and finally equal-priority unlocked categories. It never automatically reduces a higher-priority category. A decrease remains visible as unallocated balance.

The weekly budget shows only groceries, fuel, work meals, and personal investment. The daily budget shows only work meals, coffee and small purchases, daily transport, and cigarettes when that optional category is enabled.

After confirmation, the annual table uses the selected month and the following 11 months. It assumes constant pay and percentages and does not calculate returns, inflation, bonuses, or exceptional expenses.

Worked example

With MAD 12,000 take-home pay per month, the proposal projects MAD 144,000 over 12 months: MAD 106,560 of planned spending, MAD 17,280 of emergency savings, and MAD 20,160 of financial and personal investment, without returns.

Frequently asked questions

Are the proposed percentages mandatory?

No. They are an editable starting point. Adapt them using your actual costs and personal priorities.

What happens when I increase a category?

The planner uses unallocated balance first, then unlocked lower- or equal-priority categories. The total never exceeds 100%.

How does personal investment work?

Its envelope is initially split between a gym, an AI agent subscription, and self-care. Every item is optional and can be adjusted or left unallocated.

Why are weekly and daily budgets averages?

Months have different lengths. The calculator uses the selected month’s actual day count, then reports seven-day and daily averages.

What does the 12-month table represent?

It starts with the selected month and applies the confirmed salary and allocation for 12 months. Cumulative savings includes only new contributions, with no opening balance or return.

Is my salary data sent or stored?

No. All calculations stay in your browser, with no account, storage, or server submission.
